Wow, an energy drink made with Agave and Pure Cane Sugar?
Who knew? HEB, my local grocery store, has amazing deals. Today they had an interesting marketing scheme going on. If you buy the name brand energy drink, who shall remain nameless (*Scary*), you get the HEB version for free. I bought my husband his favorite (*scary*) energy drink and got this Power Peach Energy Tea for free. I was impressed right from the start by the agave and pure cane sugar sweeteners. As expected with sugar, it has 200 calories per can. Also in those 200 calories are 250%DV of B6, 80% B12,100% Niacin. It contains 250mg Taurine and 90mg caffeine. I saw no indication of social or environmental responsibility but having shopped at HEB for a decade I can testify to their commitment to their employees and recycling. Overall I liked the energy tea, though I don't typically drink that stuff and I dont plan to start now. If I did consume energy drinks, I'd conside switching to this less expensive, tasty off-brand.
