In the past few years, after a run around the lake with my friend, we have visited Whole Foods Market for breakfast tacos. The place is full of Saturday morning coffee drinkers, cyclists, runners and granola types shopping with their reusable bags. Me, I have the breakfast tacos. These tacos are all custom made. After standing in a long line (not because they are slow, but because there are so many people with taco envy) you can choose from 3 kinds of tortillas, various meats, even meat substitutes for the veggie's like me. Then you add cheese or vegan cheese and fresh organic fixin's like cilantro, tomato, onion and house made salsa. One of the best parts is
the packaging. The cups, plates, utensils and uneaten food (which I never have) are composted, the napkins are made from post consumer recycled paper and are also composted. The tacos taste great. Everything tastes better after a good run, so they might be getting bonus points for their real estate prowess. I highly recommend the tacos... and a good run.
The overall score is 34 out of 40, which is Good Stuff!!
