Immaculate Baking Company - Wild Blueberry Scones

As I was shopping yesterday, hungry (always a mistake), I stumbled on these blueberry scones in the refrigerator section of HEB. I grabbed a can and made them for the family this morning.  They started smelling good about 10 minutes in and by 18 minutes I was standing at the oven ready to eat a fresh-from-the-oven scone. The packaging clearly stated "No Artificial Ingredients" and "No Hydrogenated Oils", always a plus.  It does contain palm fruit oil and canola oil which likely are responsible for the 6g of saturated fat and 200 calories per scone.

It has 460mg of sodium which is high, in my opinion, but that is to be expected with packaged foods, the cost of convenience. Despite that, they taste good and the family liked them.  They were easy to make and hard to screw up. I wouldn't serve them regularly, after all they come from a can, but I would serve them when guests come over or on a cold weekend morning when I felt like indulging.   The packaging was reasonable for the product but no special effort was made to be environmentally friendly.

My overall rating is 24/40...Good Stuff

P.S. I did like the tip to add sugar before baking, it made a difference.
