Road ID

"When you can't speak, Road ID will speak for you" is a pretty convincing reason to wear ID for those who run alone. For my birthday I got Road ID as a gift.  I logged on and was walked though a lengthy registration process.  This process collected much more data than I was comfortable sharing,
until I realized what the purpose was.  If I was hurt and unable to communicate, all my medical information was available to the medical personnel through my Road ID account including my allergies, medical insurance information, family and friends contact info, etc.  With this information they could contact my family, get to a hospital and know what medications I was allergic to. It was just this little tag that attaches to your shoe or a strap for your arm or leg. The service to keep your records available for medical personnel was a very reasonable annual fee. Once I understood that this could save my life, I was an advocate.  I was already sold on the concept when I came across the link on their website about Commitment to the Community and was impressed with their attitude towards social responsibility which scored them extra points.  In addition to bonus points for helping out their local community they scored points for their combination of thought leadership and practical application (hey, wheels on suitcases is a great example of practical thought leadership) of the little pocket that is the size of a credit card and attaches to your shoe and carries not only your Road ID but also your key, money, license, etc.

Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it for anyone giving it 32 of 40 points.... Good Stuff!
